WolfeGraphic by Diony Cook (Diony says 'I made that!'While backpacking in Europe.. make friends!

We finally got some of the pictures up that we promised last year. We had been meaning to get a whole "How to Backpack through Europe" site, but that never happened. Maybe it still will, now that we've been coding webpages again. For now, we threw up some pics of wonderful people we met while in Europe. Meeting these people made an already exciting experience even better. Enjoy!

Paris, France
Fromage Kellan (from Canada), Diony and Eddie at a cafe in Paris. We met Kellan under amusing circumstances in a metro station, and hung out with him the rest of the time we were in Paris. Mmmm.. Fromage Baguette!
la Tour de Eiffel in the background Diony, Kellan and Liz at the top of Notre-Dame de Paris, enjoying the beautiful view of Paris. We met up with our friends Sandy and Liz after our lunch at that cafe in the previous pic.
Paris03 Kellan, Liz and Diony in the middle of saying something to Eddie. Notice she's holding the "American Travel Bible" close to her heart.
Ding Eddie, Liz, Sandy and Kellan in one of the bell towers of Notre-Dame. This is might have been where Quasimodo used to live.
Dong Eddie, Diony, Sandy and Kellan in the same bell tower.
The witch is dead? A close up of the same spot.
Squirt Kellan, Sandy, Liz and Eddie sitting on the fountain next to the Centre de Pompidou.
Can we have some Mayo? All five of us celebrating Diony's birthday with a nice dinner at a cafe. The Eiffel Tower was close to here and we could see it from our table.

Rome, Italy
Is it hot in here? Andrea, Alice (from Tasmania), Eddie, and Diony trying to cool off with some cold drinks at a bar (Julius Caesar) in Rome. We'll never forget the Italian keyboard player trying to sing disco tunes, or the embarrasing Americans we were also hanging out with.

Finale Ligure, Italy
Did we order enough pizza? A bunch of us eating dinner at an awesome pizza place. Clockwise starting from the left is Eddie, Diony, Austrian guy whos name we forget, don't remember who was next, Jackie, Tammi, we forget Tammi's friend's name, Bridget(New Zealand), Karin(Sweden), Caroline, Paul, and Steve (unless stated, Americans). [If anyone remembers these people's names, pls let us know.]
Auberge Clark, Diony and Tammi chilling in the lobby of our awesome hostel.
Ciao Clark Diony, Eddie, and Paul wishing Clark a safe journey as he headed off for the train station. It's a little hazy, but from our castle-like hostel, the beautiful Mediterranean can be seen in the background.
Beautiful! Paul, Jackie, Steve, Eddie, Caroline, and Diony at the private beach of Hotel Boncardo, courtesy of Paul. He's tight with the owners and gets all his friends use of the wonderful establishment.
I'm stuffed. All of us posing for a shot after our long hike to a beautiful spot great for a picnic. Thanks to Steve's camping-style cooking gear, we cooked up a tasty brunch.
Steve takes a break from cooking A better picture of just the girls and the view that we had. Oh wait... that's Steve in the back there. :)
What can I get you to drink? Jackie and Caroline with some crazy French guy out in front of his resturant.
Je de petit mamalone Steve and Paul getting in on the action, but Steve's getting a little more than he bargained for. [Steve, send us the pic Paul took of you with your camera. You know which one we're refering to. :)]
Who wants pizza? One of our last nights out on the town and our new friend, Adam, had come to join us.

Cap d'Ail, France
Ouch! The sun hurts! Diony and Eddie with Laura, Melissa, Seth, Julie, Sam (all Americans) and uh... who is that guy? He's taking up half the picture and we don't even know him! The sun was rising and it was pretty darn bright as we waited for breakfast on our hostel's terrace.

Nice, France
Two artists Laura and Diony relaxing out front of the Marc Chagall museum. Yes, this is the same Laura from Cap d'Ail. The three of us took a short train ride to spend the day in Nice.
Honk Honk! Diony and Laura picnicing in the median of a street. Odd place eh? Those mats we bought in Finale came in handy.
Beautiful Nice Laura and Diony posing on the walkway running parallel to the beach. You had to go down a flight of stairs to get to the beach, so you can't really see it in the picture.
